I was really hoping that we would get to see her again when sasuke was on the verge of death after being stabbed by madara, just like kakashi got to see his dad when he got killed. She seemed to be a really loving and caring woman, I would like to see her interact with her son now that he's all grown up. I'm sure this would have brought a lot of hapiness to sasuke to get the chance to hug his mom one last time and talk to her. This boy is so broken inside, it's so saaaad, he deserved such a moment.

I don't think it's fair to call her fodder, unlike Kushina she didn't got the chance to seal some of her chakra into Sasuke. Kushina would be fodder as well if it wasn't for that.
I love them both. Mikoto appeared a few times only in the manga, but it was enough to make us understand why Sasuke got crazy after losing his family. She was a great source of reassurance and love. I admire her just as much as I admire Kushina.

Mikoto and Kushina were best friends. She was sweet, kind, and caring. I would've loved to see her Sharingan and fighting skill, but nope. People are just *******s. I would love to have a mother like her. My mom was like Kushina (Not that it's a bad thing. She was awesome). The irony of it gets me everytime when I watch Kushina scare the crap out of Naruto in RTN during the dinner scene.
