He's basically fixated with them, which is where he gets part of his inspiration from.

Wood is unbeatable because he can do more than make wood.Look at yamato, he is not that strong. The first hokage can make like a whole forest. Same with other elements. Zabuza can make water but kisame makes every water tech seem like a tsunami
