Why is Tsunade so underated?

If you want to call some one sexist give it to kishi. People are just stating facts. First hokage was the most powerful ninja of his time while the third was called the god of shinobi. Minato was the fastest ninja ever. Tsunade just punches stuff. J-man and Oro are way better. She also has the worst summon among the sannin. A ninja who is just strong without much of a reputation outside of medical-nin does not seem very powerful when you put them next to ninja like A, Onoki and gaara. As far as the mizukage goes she sucks compared to them too. So maybe the manga itseltf is sexist. Afterall the female is always the weakest member on their squad. Tenten just uses tools compared to awsome taijutsu users. Hinata is a girl who wides behind trees. Sakura has not advanced since start of part two while sasuke and naruto get better every other chapter

Healing skills on par with hashirama?? No way ... Madara himself was laughing/mocking her when he found out she was senju because how low level her healin was COMPARED to hashiramas... So no on that ... And shes never really done anything useful... As for ninjutsu only ones we've seen r summonin and medical =P .. shes not underrated simply bcuz weve seen pretty much everything she has in her arsenal. and thats not enough to beat top tier shinobis. shes just like a grown stronger sakura and thats that. please just stop it. its ova

having strong punches are nothing special since part 1. no one gets killed by a strong punch :rofl:

lastly she couldnt fight at all. the best thing that she can do to a team is just sit there and heal the team. thats it.

Tsunade is a good hokage andnhas held her own in every battle shes been in. There are several strong characters she can beat too

When she goes into battlemits to protect the people around her instead of concentrating all her energy into her opponent and technically we've only seen her focus solely on her opponent in the madara fight where she was able to nearly break an ems susanoo

shes isnt underrated , shes appropriately rated for the abilities shes shown, chakra enhanced strength, medical jutsus, summonings, mitotic regeneration. shes not that fast but she can take and dish physical damage like no other. that said there are many ninja that would simply out-do her in taijutsu, parry her strikes, create openings, then hit her with ninjutsu

as far as kage's go shes pretty lack luster imo

tsunade < kisame = bad match up (has chakra loving sword)

tsunade < itachi = bad match up (a sharingan user 1v1 is a bad match up specially at itachi's caliber)

tsunade < pain = terrible match up for her

on the lighter side:

tsunade > deidara = hell she can throw rocks on him and make it explode...remember sakura's training? anyway, she'll rip him to pieces once she catches on him...

tsunade > kakuzu = she can dodge whatever ninjutsu or tank any damage by mitotic regen and destroy all the hearts with 5 punches...seriously...he will be f*cked...and he will like it...

Before I defend the the princess of the leaf I must imply this tsunade was not called a sannin for her medical skills she was called a sannin due to her endurance and stamina surviving in a match against Hanzou along side her alies Orichimaru and Jiraiya. Each Sannin member survived the power house hanzou at a young age and hanzou himself respected the team for that main reason. You see there was no team that could of stood up to hanzou and faced him head on the sannin prove otherwise. Even though they lost Hanzou was proud of having opponents that were strong and not easily killed in battle. He gave the name sannin to the all powerful three because he was amazed by there durability,techniques and perisistance in defending there villages.

Secondly the fifth hokage who in my eyes is the stongest female ninja in konoha and the strongest shinobi in her village except for naruto of course. Am not going to carry on a debate about that but as a hokage she did fairly well for a medical ninja. Her first opponent was kabuto who was also a highly skilled medical nin as well and I can understand why she got trouble in defeating him. Mainly because he is also in the medical field and he is trained to evade every attack just like Tsunade. Thirdly he was at jonin level which make him quite eligible in facing a sannin due to his rank. Jonins are skilled and their are some jonnins that can go head to head with kages and survive. Normally tsunade abilities would of worked on any ninja since she was trained to kill with one hit but because of kabuto skills in healing he was able to manuever her most deadly medical combat move that attacks your whole nervous system. Even kabuto gave her credit for activating a technique like that in a short space of time while injured. Kakashi or any other random or powerful shinobi would not stand a chance but kabuto being in the same medical field he was able to counter attack.

Lastly tsunade is underrated because she is a medical ninja and they are more known to be support ninjas than head on fighters. Her insane strenght is stronger than the Raikage but people would not give her creidt for that as well because there are tons of characters in anime that has insane strength so her moves are not that superficial and trust me people love superficial characters like Pein, Naruto, Madara,Itachi and so on. I love tsunade and to me she has contributed alot to the shinobi world if people can't see it then they are immature in my book.
