Actually, he wasn't beated by no name fodders, when he was killed, it was later revealed that he was killed by Kinkaku, one of the most formidable shinobi's from the cloud, their rival village, who was also a pseudo-jinchuuriki.

And Madara "effortlessy" beat all nine Bijuu at once, are they not worthy of their legacy now?

You can't compare Tobirama to Madara when you're undermining him.

In other words you agree that he is not of Hashirama's league shinobi.
It was blatanly clear that these brothers can't use anything other than Rikudou's weapons/Kyuubi's chakra when fighting, for example their brains. Such a bad lose for him.

Madara didn't even need to use EMS techniques to defeat "the fastest shinobi of his era"

Ginkaku and his brother featless? They were one of the worst criminals that plagued the hidden cloud and have the Sage's Tools within their possession.

And Secondly..He was assasinated. I doubt even a great ninja could do much if he was caught off guard..like being asleep or something =/

They never confirmed who killed him. Madara is just OP right now, any charicter you put against him right now will fail. The dude was fighting without his eyes for a whole chapter lol.
Aside from that I still think tobi is top tier material. His feats are pretty good. His jutsu are op and alot of good shinobi use them.

Edo tensei- Orochimaru and Kabuto. The reason for the massive edo army. I think Tobirama could have perfected this jutsu but didnt because he had respect for the dead and the jutsu it self requires that you do bad things.
Shadow clones- alot of them use this. in different variarions.
FTG- Best feat of the 4th
