Why is the ninja system still around?

Kishi has had characters complain about the system a lot lately. But in 700 chapter people are still training kids to be ninjas.

What the hell?

It's a little difficult to "just drop" cultural norms and values that have been around for centuries to millenia, especially ones that revolve around the economy, history and societal ideals. The people still possess their chakra and conflict isn't extinguished, they're just in a peacetime at the moment. That doesn't mean every single nation in the world is peaceful or that rogues no longer exist.

Well, I didn't say next generation. Lol I said 50 yrs down the line. That encompasses a few more generations of kage. Konohamaru will probably be the next Hokage after Naruto, and even he didn't fight in the war. A few lines after him (50 yrs in the future) and the kages of the time won't have any connection since they'll be used to such lavished lives and take things for granted. They'll have never worked together and barely know each other. The system will fail then.



I know. Shonen logic is the cutest thing. xD Then again, it makes sense since the main audience is 12 year olds.

The main audience for Naruto is teens.

because the ninja system was never the problem, did you really read all the manga?

being a shinobi = being alive => Life is about enduring, evolving, dreaming, falling, trying again etc

Naruto's generation is now in charge, we don't know what they are gonna do, the last chapter only show us they achieved their personal dreams, that their world is obviously pretty different and that another generation already exist.
