It was white in part 1 so why is it red now?

I thought it was just for one scene when gaara was doing his speech, but every time it is shown the moon his red now.

The possibilities I see is that:

As Tobi is drawing closer to sealing all the tailed best the ten tails arrival is near causing that effect on the moon.

But that's all I could come up with, anyway anyone know why it is red or did I miss something

Some things are better left unanswered. But honestly, who cares? It's just the moon, nothing that important.. :)

The Juubi's body is said to be imprisoned within the moon. The extraction of the Bijuu into the Mazo may be causing this affect. Or the artist is just trying to create a more dramatic atmosphere.

there is major symbolism in it...but the moon has been out before..i think it symbolizes either mass chaos or death....cuz if u see in the manga it was there when kurama was in the leaf...and it might be there when obito kills all them mist ninjas.....but yea...

When there is a lot of smoke in the air as in explosions from a war blah blah the particulate matter causes the moon to appear to change color...

Also as stated before its probably for dramatic effect as in its getting ready to turn into a giant sharingan for Madaras Infinate tuskanomi

To show how dark the times are for the fact that Shippuden is suppose to have a darker storyline about it, so it's adding affect to the atmosphere and also the Juubi is sealed within the moon

Its Symbolic, A red moon Symbolizes the Amount of Bloodshed, so its just there for dramatic effect
