[Discussion] Why is the kid alliance going after shanks?

So we know that Kidd Apoo and Hawkins are going for Shanks but my question is why?

Yes it maybe to prove their strentgh and show that they can be as strong as a Yonkou but they can do that with any other Yonkou as well.

The only thing I can think of is that maybe Blackbeard has filled their mind. We know he is a cunning little swine and that he plans his moves amazingly well so I think hes gonna let the Kidd alliance weaken Shanks then Blackbeard will finish him off.

Another reason I can think of is that maybe Kidd knows what Shanks means to Luffy and thats why he wants to kill Shanks so that he can provoke Luffy. However, I dont feel like this can be true. I mean Kidd isnt stupid. He knows that Shanks is arguably the strongest Yonkou but Im not sure.

So what do you guys think?

1. A huge, old lady who just so happens to eat people alive
2. The "strongest living creature" commanding an army of 300 zoan users
3. The wielder of the two most fearsome abilities in the entire world
4. An amputee with a sword

Which one would you pick? I'd make exactly the same choice, to be honest. At least he has a chance to survive if he fails, Shanks is not particularly vicious

A) He thinks Shanks and crew are non-DF users and hence thinks they can take him down if they group against Shanks.
B) they think Shanks is the strongest Yonko and hence the best way to get to the top of pirates era.

Probab;y thinks he has the best chance but tbh, if shanks and his crew can hold off kaido and his crew, and keeping in mind that Jack took down a wwarship or 2 and potentially fought 2 admiral level opponents (no idea at what diffuculty or if they even bothered to fight him, or even if they were aware of the attack) doesnt really paint Shanks crew as weak when they can deal (neutralize) with this person and still show up in record time to MF...

Kidd is 23 and Shanks is 39. If anything they are half brothers. Anyways, Hawkins is among them so he could've used his abilities to calculate that they have the highest chance of success and survival going against Shanks instead of any other yonkou.

I guess shanks doesn't attack without reason unlike other yonko who are more cruel and put pressure for goods and money on those island which in there territory so may be he was seen as weak yonko.Kid likes to exploit and so shanks territory is best also kid wants one piece so who's better for information then Roger's cabin boy.

Law wanted to eliminate DD who was Kaido's primary business partner. With DD captured it follows that Kaido's anger will be showered on whomever triggered his demise. Action - Reaction.

@Thread: Kidd observed the climate and Shanks while monstrous in reputation hasn't been portrayed as possessing a significantly large crew & allies. Attacking Yonko's is a numbers game & maybe he fancies his chances.

Shanks's crew is less in no. And everyone of which are goofy-looking idiot unless ofcourse, they get provoked beyond their limits, they also tend to laugh out what Kidd seems to consider humiliation which ticked Kidd off, like 'these minions need some disciplin and all', and the key Luffy, whom Kidd's gotta defeat if he wants to dominate all Pirates, thus, becoming PK which will also contradict Luffy's ways and aim, added to his postAce anger issues, this time Shanks being the one walking the plank', .
For Kidd it's like a box of treasure filled with two treasure maps and a key map to OP.
Which he'll be willing to share with BB, ultimately stabbing him for what he did to WB but in more of a Pirate way like what it was with Shiki wanting to kill Roger,
And then comes, the SuicidalManiac and a KittyPartying hag, come on even PKs' get to have some fun, otherwise it's eventually gonna get boring.
