[Discussion] Why is the Hyuuga Clan so underrated against Kaguya?

It seems almost of an enigma. Kaguya who seems to be so powerful, yet I understand she has both Sharingan & Rinnegan aswell. Though its clear now that Byakugan is the original doujutsu, it is the ''All SEEING Eye'' AKA God. How is the Hyuuga clan differ from Kaguya? I mean the Sharingan [Uchiha] has so many upgrades throughout the series it seemed almost impossible to believe that the Uchiha clan derived from the Hyuuga in the beginning when Kishi foreshadowed this event.. We all kind of laughed and brushed off the thought until now.

I agree with this totally for now. I still believe there might be something extra within the clan, but I'm just holding onto the inevitable.

Because plot. Because Kishi, for whatever reason, forgot about the Hyuuga until now. He'd been too obsessed with Uchiha's hatred/love crap and suddenly he went, "oh shit I have to explain the byakugan/sharingan thing now, since I'm at the end."

I believe that a normal Uchiha clan member vs. a Hyuuga clan mrmber the Hyuuga comes out on top.
The more high-tiered Uchiha obviously trumps the Hyuugas best.

The byakugan is not the parent eye, that would be the Rinnegan. Kaguya does not have the sharingan, she simply has it's powers' coming from the Rinnegan. We don't know if Kaguya's and Sasuke's are the same yet, as they have both been depicted as having both 6 or 9 tomoe. Either way, the byakugan is the purest of the eyes, having it's only capabilities to see chakra flow and extended vision. Asking why Hinata is so weak compared to Kaguya when they both have the same eyes is the same as asking why Sakura is nothing to Naruto, even though they both use kunai.
