[Discussion] Why is the "D" family so important?

Naw I been watching OP for awhile now but never really pay attention to some things cause I mainly care about the battles so idk much about actual stories.

If you only focus on the battles then you'll miss out on a lot of things. One Piece is about the "story" more than the fights. Fights are actually not even that important. It is only used for entertainment purposes.

You are making a horrible mistake if this is true. The battles are cool on their own, but what separates One Piece from other manga i s how incredible the story is. Oda is a genius. It's been going on for nearly 20 years, and we still know so little about the grand scheme of things.

The D clan are more than just Law and Luffy. As for why they're so important, that's debatable.
They're clearly influential, given Luffy's repeated victories over impossible odds and Blackbeard's claim over all of Whitebeard's previous territories. They may play some larger role in the fate of the world but we probably won't find that out until the final arc.

Literally every D we've seen in the manga were powerful except Rouge and Saul. Not sure what you're talking about. Even the previous pirate king was a D

You must be new to One Piece, and it is not solely related to how powerful members of the clan of "D" are.

If he knows about law, then he has obviously seen garp, roger, ace, teach. His just being ignorant.

lol.. you really seem to take people who don't fear GOD rather casually.....i mean the mere mention shakes the gorosei and the navy top tiers......Roger, Dragon, Garp, Blackbeard seem weak to you.... Check out their feats and achievements plus their pivotal roles in shaping the entire eras and generations...you wouldn't dare to underestimate them eh

I know their strong I just didn't mention them cause they didn't do much in the manga for me to say anything.
