I know the Naruto anime had lots of fillers in it but this new material seems to all be connected. Gaiden and that it takes place in different time periods, Kawakii is in both the manga and the anime.

But it seems to be semi filler, like it's first and foremost filler but it has some connections to canon.

I mean you can still enjoy it, I liked the Naruto filler arcs a bit until they dragged them out too much.

I really love how all those people that get off by differentiating between "canon" and "filler" are almost suffering an identity crisis because of the way the story progression between the end of the original manga and the new material happenedXD.

With the movies, tie-in novels, a new manga by a different mangaka (which already makes it "filler" in the eyes of some of the more disturbed canon-filler-fetischists), a anime that includes stories from both the original author and the new manga...It completely blows through these elitists with their "That´s canon, it is godly" "This is filler, it HAS to be shitty"-compulsive disorder:bouncy:
