Why is Sunagakure so weak?

The way you gave us examples of Kakuzu and Kisame defeating Deidara isnt happening. Kisame really cant defeat deidara so easy as you say. do you know how long its going to take for the Kisame to make that water dome? All the while, Deidara starts off with his C4 dragon? He can just fly out of range

Deidara is defenseless in Kisame's waterdome. He will drown and get fed to the sharks like a fodder

Evidence this is the village with the most wind style users & poison + sealers
Along with scorch, Magnetism, and Puppeteers

Sasori took out an entire country
Chiyo took out a castle
Three of their kages can basically wipe out any army single handedly

The other main villages are only considered stronger because the have multiple tailedbeast

If you all like reexamine the war the biggest fodders are the rock only three maybe four cloud nin are actually doing anything

Suna is the weakest village, period. At every time when Suna's strenght is mentioned, it's basically the tale of how it lost power in one way or another.

Baki said that the Damiyo followed a demilitarization policy that backfired. Means they lost funds, lost shinobis, lost structure to teach them etc etc etc remember that a hidden village is essentially the Naruto-world equal to a military citadel, they need losts of funds to sustain themselves. Suna lost that funds long ago.

They had only one beast (it's not the weakest as the tails=strenght equation is declared false by 8-Tails) and since it had a really bad attitude, no one ever managed to control it half-decently, that includes Gaara. Is actually implied that in attempts to control the 1-tail they lost more power than they gained.

Two of their kages got assassinated, huge loss of military power; especially about losing the third, remember that it is implied that when the third world war occurred, it was also due to Suna scattering shinobis everywhere looking for the third kazekage and getting assaulted by all the other countries at once... again, huge blow at their resources. Magnet release is basically eradicated from Suna altogether.

They lost Pakura, a war hero with a unique, devastating kekkei genkai that essentially kills on touch AND on distance, handling her over to an opposing country - it speaks of how desperate they are looking for alliances. Like with the Sound village and later with Konoha village, it's clear that they repedeatly seek to strenghten diplomatic relationships with powers greater than their own. Scorch release is probably lost universally since Pakura was named after that style.

The prized puppet brigade is disbanded, Chiyo was retired, Sasori defected and turned against Suna, Mukade defected and time-travelled away, Monzaemon Chikamatsu is long-time dead. Kankuro is basically the only strong puppet user left. Most of the strongest puppets made (Kankuro's, Sasori's, Chiyo's collection) have been destroyed through the series.

All one needs to do is paying attention to the anime and manga - it's made pretty clear that Suna is the weakest village.

Before anyone says I'm a hater, it is also my favorite village and my fav character hails from that village. It doesn't make it stronger, sadly.

Deidara isn't the weakest Akatsuki member, but is certainly not one of the strongest, Those are (in order) Pain, Obito, Itachi and Sasori. Kisame, Kakuzu and Deidara (in any order) are basically at the same level, don't know about Konan. Hidan is the weakest.

Amaterasu keeps burning until its target is reduced to ashes. It will keep burning as long as Itachi wants it to burn.
As far as we know, Deidara doesn't have the chakra control nor the ability to cut any parts of his body so easily. Anyway Itachi would just aim for his face and he would die instantly, as simple as that.


yes idiot, you can see it by comparing Suna to the other nations which are obviously more powerful in everyway. Name at least 10 strong ninjas that stil lives in Suna. You can't so :stfu: kid.

i wasn't even talking about it burning forever, i was saying if for example it got on his hand or his leg he could just cut that bosy part off, and Amaetsersu burns unless you are able to control it which we don't see Itachi doing. and judging by the way Deidara fights its hard to hit him, not even Kakashi could Kamui his entire body just his hand, Itachi will go blind before he hits him...

Well.. The first Kazekage brought together all the clans who lived in the desert together in one village. It's only logical that in the middle of a dessert not that many people/clans lived in the first place. So therefor their numbers aren't too big + not many special clans.

Also: In a desert not many techniques can be learned as in other area's .. Suiton jutsu which need a watersource / Real doton with excisting earth is hard as well because it's 99% sand, jutsu concerning tree's and surroundings etc .. = that's why they have to many Fuuton users.. because the wind blows pretty much all the time there...

on a sidenote; almost every Kazekage has got assasinated .. (don't know about the first/second) but the third, the fourth, even Gaara...

+ Some very strong ninja leaving the village.. : Sasori is a best example

The hidden sand has had some splendid Shinobi for sure.. but they have a small population (because of living in the desert) so they stand out less then other villages with large populations like Konoha, kumo, etc..

Extremely strong known Hidden Sand shinobi: 1st kazekage, 2nd Kazekage, 3th Kazekage, Gaara, 4th Kazekage, Chiyo, Scorch style girl, Sasori, Baki, Temari, Kankuro, the creator of puppet jutsu, etc ...

Then, during the konoha invasion in part 1, we've seen some suna ninjas getting fodderized by Konoha's
At the very beginning of Shippuden, we learned that Gaara became the 5th Kazekage.... then Deidara made him his bitch during their fight. I mean, Gaara was in a desert and still lost to one of the weakest akatsuki member.
Besides, Gaara is only 15, why would he be Kazekage at this age, he's indeed strong but he lacks battle experience.
Not to mention Shuaku is the weakest Bijuu, even Hashirama didn't like Suna, why would he give the weakest Bijuu to the weakest village?

To end this, Sunagakure doesn't really have any strong clan or whatsoever. So I definitely think it's one of the weakest village out of the 5 major ones

Well Sasori is from Suna, so it doesnt make the village seem weaker if he beats the Kazekage i think....
Dont forget Lady Chiyo she is beyond Kage level (She fought the white fang and also Hanzou in the past)
The reason they attacled Konoha in part 1 was because they were weak so they wanted to ambush Konoha in order to have greater military power.
