Why is Sasuke giving us info we already know?

OD did a translation of the chapter where sasuke talks about what he's been doing all these years.
Sasuke said

We already know that the white zetsu army is pre-shinobi since Kaguya's era was before ninjutsu was even thing. So why is he telling us this? I think it's because the only thing he found out about kaguya's history is this new threat so he's just repeating things we already know to make it seem like he had a good reason to leave his family for 12 years. :bdpf:

That is y he was trying to track Kaguya's foot steps to see what she was trying to fight against. This way the shinobi world might have some hope in dealing with this "thing" rather than being taken by surprise and being slaughtered

Well probably to remind people about it, since everyone wouldn't possibly remember that small bit of info so Kishi was refreshing people's memories through Sasuke. Also Sasuke was indirectly talking to the reader; he was talking to the Kage 1st & the readers 2nd. The readers were the secondary audience. While providing the Kage with information they probably hadn't known.

Well, It seemed vague. "made a long time ago", "before shinobi" etc. If he said something like " Kaguya had a first army" then i wouldn't have created this thread besides i thought she was building a army to get ready to fight it not that she fought it before..

The point that he was trying to make was how long ago it was that Kaguya made this army and he was giving them a hypothesis for her reasons.

Even if we know that she created an army, when and y r two things we as readers were in the dark on.

We knew that as well . Sasuke said"First of all, I discovered that the army of Shiro Zetsu was something that was produced a long time ago, and before Shinobi were born" -

Shinobi were born after that , because only after Kaguya was defeated Hagormo created Ninshu , and after that Ninjuts +shinobi were born.

I know this is a bash thread , but it has a point !

It's impossible that all readers would remember that. Also the Kages couldn't have knew about it, so it was also a way of informing the Kages of a new threat, while reminding readers simultaneously.

Agree.
He was reminding in order to point out what he was doing. It wasn't a "hey, remember that time?" moment--it was him pointing out the threat and revealing his quest.

He said that to refresh readers memories of the fact than actually analyze it so that we can all realize their is a looming threat.

Granted many people already inquired that she was creating an army to fight an even bigger threat than herself for months now but this is the first time the question is addressed in story.
