Why is One Direction the best boyband?

While I agree that every band you named appeals to me exponentially more than One Direction, boybands are usually made of young men, twenties or less, and they're more often than not vocal groups. They don't really play their own instruments. So can GNR even compete in the boyband category?

I don't think they are. The other old Bands like AC/DC, Metallica, pantera, iron maiden, black sabbath, slayer, guns N roses and many more (but hey those aren't boy bands lmao), even dio's singles are better then one direction. I'm not hating on OD, but honestly I'm not a fan of theirs.

Don't be an idiot. There are fans of 1D and JB that are normal. Every fandom has its extremes. Tell me, when JB and 1D fans scream for them, is it any different from when fans scream for Eminem, or Micheal Jackson, or Beyonce during performances? No, you just have to bully them cuz you don't like the artists.

Seeing as how the stereotype for anime fans is social awkwardness and being losers, I'm sure they can spit those same words back at you.

If you think anime fans can't get extreme as music fans, try to remember the kid who killed himself cuz Itachi died.

Go onto any social network and look them up and it's just phenomenal how big the difference is. It's much more exaggerated and hormonal than a lot of other hobbies and fandom cultures.

And again, I know that's the anime stereotype but we're hardly the kind to get defensive about it. You joke about them and the majority (nutjob or not) go on the defensive instantly. I agree there's going to be people out there who are mirroring us right now but the 1D fandom as a whole for example is on the extreme end of the spectrum.

Bullshit. Like I said, all fandoms have their extremes. It's just easier to notice the extremes because everyone on the internet loves to make fun of each other, so they put it in the spotlight. Like I said before, the 1D and JB fandoms have fans that are like any other normal fandom, but you have to bully them all by lumping them in with the extremes because you don't like the artists. What you're doing is no different than someone who hates anime saying that all anime fans are fat nerdy lonely virgins with no friends.

OD is popular. People like their music. I like the songs I've heard from them. Good for them.
