Actually both the mothers and fathers of those characters were from the same clan (maybe except for Konohamaru)

Namikaze was the Legendary man who soloed the 3rd Shinobi World War, obviously his son would be in mortal peril. So that's why Lord Third gave Naruto his mother's surname, to protect him U_U

I thought that too, am I am not disagreeing, but the Uzumaki Clan and their entire island was wiped out for fear of the power that they held. This along with Namikaze not being a well known sir name, except from Minato leads me to believe that even if his name was Naruto Kamikaze, he would have had the same protection.

I only bring this up because I have thought about this same issue before, and this is where my ideas led.

Side note, Naruto Uzumaki has a better ring to it than Naruto Kamikaze, but maybe i am just bias.
