Why is Lee and Gai's Taijutsu overrated?

I don't know about Lee but Gai is clearly better than Kakashi in pure Taijutsu. Sharingan was giving him the edge to keep up with Gai in pure taijutsu match but without sharingan he loses. Gai can't neg him as some say but Kakashi still loses in the end.

Kakashi beats Base Gai and Lee. When they go gates is when he loses.

Stop being desperate...Those novels shouldn't be cannon or Kishi won't have given Base Lee a 5 in Taijutsu and Kakaahi a 4. He must have that in mind. Even it's canon, then it's part 1 Lee Kakashi beat.

Did Kishi write the novel? No. Did Kishi give Lee a 5 and Kakashi a 4...uhh yes. Let's be serious here, Kakashi definitely needs Ninjutsu to beat both in their base form.

You says their Taijutsu is overrated and yet Gai battles high level opponents with strictly Taijutsu...Kisame says to reach such a level is extremely rare. Genin Lee with his Taijutsu hit someone who hadn't been scratched( and let it be known that the opponent had a B rank in his file and yet wasn't touched).

Without the Sharingan, Kakashi would no longer be able to keep up with Lee and Gais movements.

And that is even before either of them using inner gates.

Without Sharingan, Kakashi has to rely on his existing Taijutsu skills, however, 'through determination and perseverance' Gai and Lees Level of Taijutsu would exceed Kakashis (without the Sharingan - and he no longer has the Sharingan).
