He's a very skilled ninja, one of the leafs best.......Now before anyone argues that point, which some people are going to, it's been stated by MANY ninja (Both from the leaf and all over the Narutoverse) that Kakashi is extremely skilled and talented.....

He's Kage level, and to be a master of the sharingan is SUPER impressive, consider that he's not Uchiha even more impressive.....Also consider the fact that it's fully possible he can preform 1000 jutsu' that's crazy, when the main character just variates one.......To top that off he possibly has the GREATEST, yes the greatest chakra control in the entire series......Hate him or love him, he is EPIC!!!! I'd love to see him without the sharingan, I think he'd actually be more epic....

Kakashi has by far more experience than Itachi who didn't even knew what's a shinobi war.
Then about copying technique it's not only the sharingan but skills,intelligence and mastered elements that counts.Kakashi is one of rare Shinobi who mastered 3 elements and he's still not at his prime.
Everybody from all the shinobi world know him because he was longtime known to be a genius even before that he has sharingan ,he became chuunin at 6 , jounin at 13,anbu captain at 14 and created Chidori with which he cut the lighting storm.He mastered the sharingan better than most of the Uchiha and was able to awake mangekyou sharingan despite that he's not an Uchiha.Even 99% real Uchiha coulnd't go that far.

Kakashi is famous because he's a beast and he's still exploiting his big potential.

Kakashi was said to copied over 1000 jutsu... sometimes i wonder whether that is true... his base element is what... lightning, earth, water, fire?

i dont remember seeing use wind element jutsu...

Sharingan users need to have the afinities to use the copied elemental jutsus.

But he still need to mastered FOR EXAMPLE he need to be good at genjutsu, he need to have a good chakra control and for taijutsu his body needs training to get strong enough to hold the speed and strenght
