I would like to remind people on this thread that Jiraiya did not get info from Itachi. In their encounter, Jiraiya still thought Itachi was simply a mass murderer. He never had any knowledge of his plans, or his innocence.

The fact that he was a known criminal was a large hindrance for him.

he murdered his entire clan and dont say they were iredeemable villains. he helped murder 6 jinchurikis.

His sacrifice. He is a 'role model', epic. Maybe best susanno set. Good guy over all.... But I don't see whats so great about Him.

He kept kisame from killing Naruto by telling him they would lose the battle, had he not Kisame would have taken Naruto.

so what was his plan if jiraiya never showed up? kill naruto?
he iddnt keep tobi away from konoha. he condemned konoha to destruction and let tobi do whatever he wanted instead of stopping him

so that means no one in naruto is evil since "everyone does it". but if thats the case then why are oro and kinkaku so despised

I like Itachi personally because he K.O'ed Kakashi useless ass with a glare and also Amaterasu'd Obito's face. LMAO.

he tortured kakashi so his villaye would be even more defenceless, and even let obito start a world war by doing nothing to stop him

I can see the jerk with a good heart angle going for him, it's why characters like Dr. House are popular.

Overall: Itachi is one of the best doujutsu users in the manga, and he is cool, calm, collected, smart, and a badass.
