Why is Itachi always compared to the Top Tiers?

I'm a Itachi fan, I don't think he's the god of Naruto, he's weaker than naruto but also he's strong in his own way. There, enough..what's with all the haters trying to underrate him? it's just as annoying as the fans who think Itachi's the god of naruto shippuden.

I don't really see how you fans can compare Itachi to the all-time greats. He just does not have enough power. In my opinion the Top Tier characters are:

• Nagato
• Tobi
• Naruto
• Hiruzen Prime
• Madara
• Hashirama
• Minato(borderline)
• Kabuto(without edo borderline)

Itachi just cannot defeat any of the characters listed above. Also Itachi never defeated any character of significance without a decent amount of help, along with his poor stamina I don't really see how he can make top tier.

Itachi beat kabuto, sasuke or not he wouldve still beat him. Prime Hiruzen's power is not even confirmed, Orichimaru beat hiruzen and itachi punked him. And even with naruto vast strength itachi is still smarter than him, idk if he could beat him but amaterasu can do a lot

Im not going to disagree with you with itachi being higher in intellect however if you look at itachi's jutsu's naruto's speed counters alot of them, i cbf listing unless you want me to explain.

Yes thats true however tsukuyomi isnt an instant genjutsu, as shown by edo itachi vs kabuto with itachi having to take time to form the genjutsu. If im wrong please show me and ill accept it however i do agree that unless naruto can counter the genjutsu with a killing blow or through some other means itachi wins.

Itachi is stronger then kabuto anyway you put it.

I also like how you don't have sasuke on the list. Or Oro.
Many will say oro is weak and can't stand in an actual fight.
He doesn't need to, if you assume that the winner is the one who is alive at the end ( not the one who did the best or got the most hits) oro will win. Eventually the opponent will die of old age or another fight and oro will still be alive within someone else.

You realise both were holding back so you cannot say if either is stronger and also if kabuto was to go all out hed also use edo's which is extremely hard to counter and sm kabuto counters alot of itach's move sets however we dont have enough info to decide who wins. And just because old hiruzen lost to orichimaru and itachi beat orichimaru doesnt mean itachi instantly wins against hurizen, the A>B and C>A therefore C>B cannot be applied here. Also naruto is fast enough to counter/dodge amaterasu so i dont see that jutsu being very effective in the fight compared to susano.

itachis intelligence and battle strategies puts him on the top tier. so far i see no one in the manga thats able to anylize the situation and make up a battle plan that almost always works. only minato and kakashi has come close. i say hes the best MS user thats ever lived, his haxed tecniques combined with his way of thinking makes him a very deadly opponent even to those shinobis that are way higher level in terms power than him, nagato is an example.

Itachi was extremely powerful and talented all while his body was slowly giving way to the disease that was eating away at him. To be that strong while dying is enough to put him in the Top Tier list for me.

I think Minato is the only other Top Tier shinobi Itachi would have a reasonable chance to defeat

• If the effects could be canceled(which they cannot) the jutsu only takes a moment to cripple a target. The moment it took to break Tsukuyomi would still be enough KO the target.
• Naruto sucks against genjutsu.

A, Bee, Sasuke, Kakashi, Orochimaru, Naruto and countless others have looked into a sharinagan. Even if they know Itachi has Tsukuyomi they've looked into his eyes.

He didn't use Tsukuyomi because it was an Itachi clone that couldn't use Tsukuyomi. Itachi got Naruto to look right into Itachi's eyes.

Both have references. This isn't a debate it is a beat down. Naruto cannot beat Itachi, at least not with what we know Naruto can do right now. Naruto's too fast? Prime Itachi could have been above a 5 in speed. Itachi was proficient with the body flicker as well.

As for that pic, Itachi used finger genjutsu, and NAruto was already in it so whether he looked at his eyes or not at that point didn't matter..
