Why is it important to be "sustainable"?

How are we destroying the envoriment? Earth has been trough a lot. Think about it. Think about the asteroids, earthquakes, tsunamis, mass extinctions that we have been trough. Yet we are blaming ourselves for something that is not even scientifically proven to happen, which happens to be the extintion of the human race by consequence of its own actions.

The point is that we have won the race. We're the species that adapted the best. We're the ones who are superior in terms of genetics. The inferior species should naturally perish because they haven't adapted. We shouldn't care if we **** up with a couple species of trees.

This process which you believe that is wrong is the thing that mother nature has been looking for for so long. There's no denying it.

I'm giving away some 20 bucks to anyone who convinces me that being susteinable is something any good.

the thing is that nature always finds a way to continue. we could destroy ourselves w/pollution and other bad environmental issues, wars, etc. but life always finds a way to live on.

Define superiority..I find a small community with a resource based economy more respectable than any country/farm with all its slaves. That small, transparent community without leader is more in tune with nature. I call that superior.

Anywho, the human race is a cancer tumor and needs to be exterminated or guide itself back to harmony with the universe. But I'm afraid all hope will be utterly crushed not too far away from now.

OP said that everything else is inferior. Which isn't true. We're inferior in strength if we need to make guns to compensate for our lack of strength and hunting and stealth ability that lions have.

By asking to save the environment it is like saying to save for our future generation,it does not need to mean we give a shit about nature or anything it is to make it last a bit longer or preserving as it is. If you destroy your own house where do you live?
