That's no excuse. Tobirama, Sasuke, Minato, and Naruto have all jumped right into the fray with Kami Obito using high level jutsu and making up a strategy as they fought. Why is Hiruzen throwing shuriken? To save chakra? Edos have unlimited chakra. Hiruzen has no excuse, he's just not impressive in the slightest. His best and only feat, sealing the First and Second, was retconned by the fact that they weren't even close to full power and were controlled , and he wasn't able to completely stop Oro, just postpone his plans.

To be frank, -Punk- has spoken for me, 2x now. The others got owned, but they've done stuff as well (albeit in reality all would've been fodderized, but Juubi was a disappointment due to plot). On the other hand, Hiruzen has solely been owned. I'll let -Punk- take it from here :0
