Operating off of the context, two separate groups of translators translated it as "us" - or to be multiple people. While Viz, with hired translators familiar with the series, sided with the known truths rather than assume a new one had been revealed.

That's very obvious what I am asking is why would black zetsu feed madara information that purposely omits hamura and what does he have to gain from doing so

AT THAT POINT - if you wish to revive your mom . . .. . you would NOT want people to know how she was defeated
So . . . .. you never give them the info that there needs two to defeat her.

maybe hagoromo killed hamura, and like madara faking his death, hamura survived barely and became BZ.

maybe hamura had to seal himself and the 10 tales in the moon together!
