Don't get me wrong i like gai but why is kishi constantly giving gai fighting scenes while he forgets completely about lee? Pic is the last time lee was seen doing some fighting.

Guy is more more relevant in this scene just when Kakashi and Obito are fighting alongside each other. Lee's time will come with Naruto later on but not the current fight. It belongs to Minato and his team

Why people think Gai will open the 8 Gates? It will be meaningless, because he cannot defeated Madara or harm him. Therefor there is no point to open the 8 Gates.
