Why is fanfiction so dead on here?

What's happened? It's sad to see the FF section in such a sorry state.

The series ended, and for those of us that read fanfic back then, the love for all things Naruto related waned. There's also the fact that the site isn't what it once was traffic wise.

Haha the good old days huh xd Looking back it's hard to define the generations, lol. For me you were like 3rd gen together with Uzumaki, ChakraWizard, nd so on and so forth, while I was in 2nd Gen with Kuroi Honoo and more. 1st gen would be RokuNR, Riku, Bisahmon and those names I can't recall by now. 2012 was the high point, 2014 the decline. And now... Well, you know the rest.

I used to have a list of everyone who won an award in that contest, and to be honest the list was pretty damn long. I can't recall how many of those actually won 1st place but, those that did win usually won more than 3-5 times, myself included.

Well I can't exactly say I'm still around really xd I feel as though the only reason I sign in these days is because I'm reminded every time I visit the net due to NB still being my homepage. Been considering changing it for over a year now, I suppose it's time soon. Soon...

Because writing it properly needs more work. So people flood ND with their alternative scenarios and ideas how they wished their favourite characters acted or how story should have written but few try to make a coherent story about it to the end.
