Hiruzen in his prime could. But old hiruzen doesnt have the chakra levels to keep up with hashirama.

Prime Hiruzen is WAYYY smarter than hashirama and has a larger arsenal. And even the manga states that hiruzen in his prime was stronger, but the manga has yet to say that hashirama is the strongest.

you have no proof that hiruzen is smarter than hashirama ...i guarantee we havent seen hashirama's full arsenal also but from what we have seen everything points at hashirama being better at almost everything than hiruzen

I like Hiruzen, he's my favourite Hokage along with Minato but we have no info on him... one day Oro will probably create a modified young edo Hiruzen but until it happens we can't say he's stronger or weaker than Hashi...

He is saying that it's power is too great to simply roam freely, not that it's too much for him. Besides, this guy fought not only a full powered Kyuubi (in comparison to what's inside Naruto), and EMS Madara at the same time, he is no Konohamaru.

Madara's Mokuton IMO isn't on par with Shodai's.... Bcoz Mokuton powered by a thousandth part of Hashirama can't be as powerful as powered by Shodai's body itself...
