my theory is that the Sage put something inside Kurama so that when the chosen one came along he can carry out what he set out for him i guess. He trusted the younger son, so he was banking on a perfect jinchuuriki for the 9-tails, as the elder son's descendants (uchiha) control the bijuu not become jinchuuriki.

I think it is a matter of the Namikaze clan being related to the Uchiha and the Uzumaki clan neing related to the Senju. Hence the son is closer to SO6P.

As said, it alone matched 5 other tailed beasts with it's attack dispite having under half it's charka. It's different because it is the fox and is superior to every other tailed beast in existance, and it's that reason Naruto was intended to be captured last of all, for fear of unbaliencing the statues charka.

Plus he's a main character. Bee's Ox manifests itself in a different way.

Naruto should have the Standard Bijuu cloak and 9tails form like Bee has the Standard cloak/8tailed form, but i Guess kishi wanted to make him look "special".

The yin chakra, which was sealed by Minato, has the ability to creat form out of nothingness.

And so, as Naruto only possesses the Yang chakra, he forms a massive chakra shroud in the form of Kurama instead of an actual physical manifestation of Kurama due to the lack of the ability to create actual form.

Also, I'm pretty sure you could see Naruto inside the Kurama form so again supports the theory that it's a massive shroud instead of a physical form.
