Why is Batman vs Superman a thing?

I am genuinely confused as to how people to think Batman even stands a chance. Superman is not only stronger but faster. Fast enough to stop speeding bullets and strong enough to stop a speeding train. With those strength feats in mind a single punch should end Batman's pitiful and mortal existence. The only way Batman would win if he had kryptonite, but if he does the fight will be just as one sided in Batman's favor.

I don't see Steve Hawkings beating Hulk Hogan in a fight anytime soon. Intelligence can only do so much. Besides in the comics, Supes also has super intelligence.

But it's a proven fact that Batman's intelligence has brought down enemies in large quantities and 100x stronger than him.

Because those enemies were a lot dumber than him and not nearly as strong as supes. Supes is arguably "smarter" than Batman. In the comics, his brain was like a supercomputer.

Supes is arguably "smarter" than Batman. In the comics, his brain was like a supercomputer.

Superman uses his knowledge to a lesser extent than Batman. Maybe Batman utilizes his knowledge in a smarter or better way than Superman. They think differently, so Superman might be able to think faster, Batman just thinks better. Maybe.

I did say if he has kryptonite then Batman just as easily takes Supes out didn't I? My point was without kryptonite Batman loses so badly that it shouldn't even be a debate. With kryptonite Batman wins so easily that there should be no debate about it. Which is why I am surprised batman vs superman is even a thing. That was the point of my thread.

Also don't forget Batman built in sonic scream, one use of that and Superman is out.
