Why is Annie evil?

I honestly dont believe she is evil. I think theirs something going on behind the scenes and theirs a purpose for why this is happening. If anything shes just a pawn :/

She's not. Whatever side she's working for, their goals haven't been seen yet. It's possible Annie's side are the anti-heroes, they knew of the King's goals to get Eren and wanted to stop him. I kinda have a theory about all of this, and if I write it up and post it, this post will make more sense.

Ive only watched the anime. But it had a back story to it to which gave us a glimpse on why annie did what she did.

Also in the middle of the season, she said shes trying to get away from the titans

There's no real side or character that we can say are evil at the moment , I don't think she is , this is for survival , Annie , Bertholt & Reiner all thought that their side had more future I guess , but we know almost nothing about those three to even judge them .

Interesting question , I was wondering the same as well after I caught up to the manga yesterday
Her actions were evil for sure, whatever sad story will be shoved in my face, what she did was unforgivable and she deserves no less than execution.

No matter the excuse why Reiner,Bertholdt,and Annie did what they did will never be good enough for me. They are responsible for the deaths of like a million people, and most where just ordinary people just living there every day lives. The only outcome good enough for them to me is if they get eaten by the Titans themselves. And I was a huge Reiner fan but now just hope he dies an as brutal death as the all the people he's responsible for dyeing.
