Why is anime frowned/ unacknowledged upon?

The title sums it up pretty much. Why do other people not like anime when they haven't seen it? I was the same way, but till this last summer I started to watch it and I really enjoy them.

The animation quality for the most part is low.
The fillers don't expand on anything vital or interesting regarding the plot or universe.There very bland.(Which is why the hype for the anime ent way down after the cannon episodes ended)
And they make constant mistakes regarding facts of the manga.

perhaps because it is in japanese, and many people make asumptions that anime is bad because they watched yugioh or something and didnt find much meaning in it

Both Anime & Manga are getting close too becoming a "norm" a "mainstream" from what I have heard seeing as how the popularity of such has risen so drastically.

People don't like anime bcoz of mistakes,, anime also sometimes ruines the secrets.. But I enjoy both=D

People are manga-tards and if it even varies a little bit they lose their crap.

I think anime is more enjoyable because it is easier to tell what is going on and is much more detailed.

Also people hater filler, but I don't really mind it.

Yeah lol but it's like the majority of people who like anime are the unpopular kids, to put it nicely, I don't fit this category because I was one the popular, more athletic type and I feel that if some celebrity were to say anime was good a lot more people wouldn't judge the unpopular kids for watching it. You know?
