A few reasons why I think this manga has become less entertaining:
- It lacks the mystery it used to have.
I spent my days thinking about who the man under the mask could be, what the akatsuki where planning and why itachi killed his clan..
Now there is nothing mysterious about this manga, nor is it thought provoking.
- Unproved hype.
Kakashi the copycat ninja - who copied over 1000 techniques... You'd expect kishi would at least show these techniques when he fights different people, not only would make it the fight scenes better and so much more entertaining, it would make kakashi so much more badass, yeah he has shown a few techniques but f**k the guy has over 1000 to pick from and he uses the same ones time and time again.
Hiruzen the god of Shinobi - supposedly has mastered every Justus in the leaf village and yet kishi still makes him do a shuriken shadow clone technique against the strongest character in the Naruto universe.. I mean wtf.. (I hope kishi doesn't troll him and he gets a chance to prove himself)
And last but not least...
- The OPness.
If you don't have: ms, ems, reningan, senju blood, sage power, teleporting techniques, unique power (gara, onoki etc) or the power of a tailed beast.. You might as well just sit the f**k down grab some popcorn, watch the show and accept the fodderness that kishi and his team have turned you into.
The way I see it, you're either fodder or OP.
Taijustu is useless now.
Hand seals are all most non-existent now.
It just feels like the whole Ninja-ness has been taken away.
But with all that said, I'll still continue to watch/read it.
Anyways that's just my thoughts, what do you guys reckon?

. Back then we knew nothing compared to now. Make theories don't get mad at details like screen time, power etc. It's fictional a lot of people tend to forget that. If you do this I guarantee you'll enjoy the manga and anime better
