Why I think the Hokages Won't Help the Shinobi Alliance

A lot of people think the Hokages will save the day I disagree.

1. Its a total cop out if they defeat Madara and Obito and the Juubi.

2. Its insulting to the entire Shinobi Alliance, essentially they become nothing more than a helpless army that needs to be saved by the previous generation.

3. It goes against some of the main themes of this manga, one generation surpasses the previous.

4. It makes the whole war pointless, the point of the war is that the world is working together for the very first time to overcome a great threat, if these guys jump in and beat the bad guys then every one who died in this war died for nothing and the war loses its meaning.

5. They are controlled by Orochimaru who has already made it clear he wants nothing to do with the war.

6. In Shonen manga the major fights don't involve a party that isn't the main chracters or recurring characters jumping in and saving the day.

7. This is just my opinion but ITS A HORRIBLE WAY TO END THIS FIGHT.

In conclusion I think the Hokages are part of the set up for the next arc or they will not be helping the SA but be controlled by Sasuke or Oro as a third party and the war becomes a three way fight.

Interestingly thats a point I forgot to add that they probably couldn't beat the Juubi anyway.

I support your theory mostly.

I think the Second Hokage (as he created the jutsu) will free himself out of it.
The fourth hokage will probably get his soul freed because he knows his Son has already surpassed him or something like that.
The Third hokage??? Sasuke will probably kill him 1000 times as he is mad at him
The first hokage WILL do something to loose control and go fight Madara. I see only one end to him, an edo hashirama vs an edo madara. There is no other way to defeat him.

Very true but people will disagree because they want to see their favourite characters in action (or they're fanboys..) or because they hate Obito/Madara and want to see them defeated. No worries kids, they will, the manga has to have a happy ending.

Isn't madara of the old Gen? The hokages should at least be allowed to fight him.......

Though I do agree they shouldn't fight obito/juubi.

Heck I don't care if they don't fight at all, actually, I just want character development for them, some clarification from Hashirama as to where the flip the Hyuuga came from, and the hokages interacting with certain characters related to them, like Hasi and Tobi with Tsunade or Yamato, or Minato with Naruto and Obito

At 1:37 what Goku said. "You handled yourselves well but this isn't your fight to finish" Madara is from a previous generation. Hashirama would feel bad for the newer generation since Madara was not suppose to be their trouble. I bet Hashirama would like to finish him off now.

That generation remark is pointless now.

And even if it were still held true, this generation is in their mid to late teens. You think it's expected of that generation to have already completely surpassed Minato/Sannin/Hiruzen/Tobirama/Hashirama?

Hell, we just got done listening to Madara have orgasms over how no one is stronger than Hashirama, so may as well just go ahead and throw out that generation remark now, considering if we go by that, Hiruzen surpassed Hasirama and Tobirama, Jiraiya/Orochimaru/Tsunade surpassed Hiruzen, Minato surpassed them and now Kakashi and Gai have surpassed Minato's generation, as they're the strongest of their time, and Naruto/Sasuke have surpassed them all.

Keeping it Konoha only because I feel that's what the remark was meant for.
