As much as it's irrational to see people wanting one of their favorite characters to get more powerful, I can see where they are coming from.

The Hyuga clan is suspicious. I've been saying this enough times to be part of the X-Files crew. There's this really good thread that explains how the SO6P is a hybrid Uchiha, Senju, AND Hyuga, and that the Elder Son's descendants branched off to be Hyuga firstly and Uchiha secondly. This confirms the suspicions shinobi had that the Hyuga clan was older than the Uchiha clan. Well how could this be? We just saw the story from Obito how The Sage split his powers into Senju and Uchiha, how could there be Hyuga as well? That's why they are suspicious. Why else do they have dojutsu?
