Why I legitimately dislike Sakura as a character.

Sakura is mentally weak, for someone that almost led a normal life.

That is not entirely uncommon and happens in many cases with people that lead normal lives but lack self-confidence and hate on themselves for being that weak. People who go through hardships in life, faced traumatizing experiences and are able to surpass it usually create a harder shell and have no other escape but to get stronger inside even with all the fragile aspects they were left with by those experiences.

As I written several times in it, I tried to like Sakura but there were points in the manga where her character has done questionable things that would be considered simply unacceptable to like her as a Shonen protagonist. It would had been more forgiving if it was in any other manga genre but one that is concerned about protecting your villages, the value of friendship and bettering yourself, that would be another case.

Honestly Karin and Hinata are side characters with very less panel time compared to Sakura. They as characters are not perfect either. But you know you can actually understand there shortcomings since Kishi chose to ignore majority of his side characters. Now how would you explain it with Sakura?

Yeah but my point is Sakura has more reasons to be hated because she has way more panel time than the other two. She also holds the main female protoginist title which the other two don't have. Hence why people would expect more from her compared to the other two.

I didn't read most of what you wrote but from the part I read (Naruto Gaiden) you do not have good understanding of the situation at all, we don't know the full truth yet anyways.

1) She did not lie to Sarada about Sasuke, she always told her that he was on an important mission and he will come back as soon as he finishes, and that he cares about them both, which is all true.

2) She did not "go to great lengths to obscure Karin's existence", she simply had no reason to tell Sarada about a person who has no impact on her life and is probably not related to her at all.

3) Sarada's birth is still a mystery, Sasuke would not cheat, she is either born from Sakura or she got Karin's DNA by unconventional means like surrogacy.

@2 and 3, the fact that Sakura went through such means to hide Karin basically gives more proof that Karin is the birth mother. There is many evidence that Karin is the birth mother, too much for you to just dismiss it as "there is no chance of Karin being the mother"

Plus Hinata only needs to use airpalm to solo her with rock

Indeed, this is true. This thread perfectly encapsulates the pitfalls of Sakura's character, and why she's the biggest disappointment in the series, if you take into account that she's supposed to be a MC.

While Sakura was indeed annoying in Part 1, she definetely became a better character in Part 2. Her not fighting against Pain, is in no way a bad characteristic of her, and really, the only one who tried saving Naruo was Hunata, so you're speaking bad of the whole village. Also didn't she lie to Naruto, because in order to help him forget Sasuke, or something, i can't really remember anymore. However, of course Kishi had to ruin her again in the World War, when she became obsessed with Sasuke, so i guess that she didn't really become much better in the end...

She is also a terrible friend, she is never seen trying to help ino cope with asuma's death or naruto cope with jiraiya's death. It was shikamaru ultimately who helped naruto.

She comes off as extremely selfish, Sasuke announces his plan to kill tsunade but her priority is to throw another confession at him.
