Why I can never forgive Itachi

His fans may try to paint a picture of self sacrificing saint, but the truth is he is a failed ninja that couldn't find any alternate peaceful ways to stop the coup (even this maybe a fabricated lie by Danzo) in order to get his "sharingarm".

Now you might try to justify the murderer by.saying he was preferred to do it by grave robber danzo, but ultimately, it is up to you to follow the order or not.

You listen to your heart and ask the action I am about to take is right or not, like a human.

This is where itachi failed MISERABLY, he was merely a tool for Danzo. If it was naruto or even minato, I bet they would have found a peaceful solution.

I love how people like to talk about how Naruto would've found a peaceful solution blah blah blah. They're shinobi!!! How many times has Naruto's peaceful solutions worked btw? Pay attention to the manga.......If he had refused, then the elders would have assigned the mission to the ANBU black ops. They would've killed everyone including sasuke, that's why Itachi decided to do it himself.

You are ignoring a ton of information. Including Tobi and Shisui's involvement in the incident and the fact that nobody but tobi has ever said that konoha elders made him do it, and tobi is the biggest liar in narutoverse. He was also 13 years old at the time. When u were 13 u probably couldnt make yourself a sandwich.

I somewhat agree too.
Itachi is a cool character, don't get me wrong, but he did kinda fail with the Uchiha massacre.

Being a genius, you'd think that Itachi would have found another way to stop make peace rather than just to kill everyone. It's almost as if Itachi was being manipulated and forced to do so by the Konoha elders. Surely, couldn't they just divide power and negotiate until both parties were happy?
Plus, he ended up screwing his little brother over, as well as any chances of his clan's survival. Yes, Sasuke has become stronger because of the massacre, but he's gone mentally insane too.

Nonetheless, Itachi had the right honorable aims of peace, but the way of achieving this was not the best option.

As a Sasuke fan you should know why he did it. Simply put, either way the Uchiha would have been killed but what Itachi did is to become the antagonist in Sasuke and the village's eyes by slaughtering everyone except his little brother so that he'd die in Sasuke's hands and make him the hero who redeemed the Uchiha.

And no, there wasn't any other way basically because of the plot. If it was Naruto or Minato, yes, there would've been another way since Kishi would want to point them out as someone who can change the world - "the one who would bring either destruction or peace".

Why do people think that slaughtering the clan was itachi's plan. It would be a good idea to read the manga if you decide to create such a thread. I do however agree with you somewhat in relation to the way he tried to make sasuke stronger. Its this hate that has brought forth current sasuke

Despite being an Itachi fan, I kinda agree with you. But to an extent. To say that he wasn't a sacrificing saint is true, but this man DID sacrifice a lot. He did what he was supposed to. Not many ninja have the heart of Naruto. Naruto is that way because of what he went through. Itachi never went through his experiences. He was always taught that you were supposed to sacrifice yourself for the village. Itachi gave up EVERYTHING when he carried out this order. He knew what would happen when he did this. But he sacrificed his well-being for the village. And he did what he could to protect Sasuke and make him strong. Itachi did many things wrong and screwed up, yes. But he always had the best intentions.
