Why hasnt Tobi hired new members?

i don't think he really got the time for recruiting new members. tobi became very hands-on with his plan to be in motion. recruiting new akatsuki i think would be a difficult process, long and arduous. because you can't just hire anybody. it has to be the baddest of the bad and the strongest of the strong. xD

Well I guess technically he hired Kabuto even though its an alliance but Kabuto is still working with him for a common goal.

Even after loosing Sasori,Kakuzu,Hidan,Itachi Tobi didn't give a shit because he had nagato. Due to Naruto's talk no jutsu tobi lost his most powerful subordinate Nagato who
can sync with gedomazo too.Tobi was very upset at nagato's betrayal . he had enough with subordinates and finally decides to move his lazy ass.

Its probably hard to convince power high end shinobi to fight with you so that you can trap everyone in a genjutsu including them lol. He was already past the who jink gathering thing so theyd get an idea of what was going on.

That is true. I do miss the original Akatsuki crew, most entertaining characters in Naruto.

Dudes got seven out of nine beasts he's not really doing that bad and he's using them as weapons. The only thing he missed was naruto's maturation. If anything he planned on getting the eight tails last since its a known fact that B and the eight actually work together which makes him at the time the most dangerous. If anything itachi set Tobi up to fail. No other member ran into naruto as much as itachi and I'm sure we can admit that Tobi has underestimated naruto and his progress. Which could prove that itachi for whatever reason still believed in the village.
