So.. If you havn't read the newest chapter, you shouldn't read anymore!
Well.. The new chapter contains quite a bit new stuff!.. And the fact that the Juubi was original a tree just blew my mind!.. I'm not sure if I like it or not - and though it makes sense, and explains where chakra originated - I quite liked the fact that the SO6P (or Hagoromo Ootsusuki) was a "good guy" and kinda all-knowing.. But now it kinda feels like he's the culprit due to all the "stealing of the chakra" stuff.. And yeah - I know it was his mother who did it - but still..
But back to the topic of this thread!..
The reason why Hashirama - and people with his cells - can control tailed beasts.
It actually makes quite a lot of sense, since he's able to manipulate wood, and the Juubi was actually a part of the land, and a tree of all things. So in some way you could say Hashiramas powers isn't just the ability to control wood, but the ability to control chakra at it's deepest and most original state. This would also explain his rapid regeneration, since it's the chakra he manipulates, and not the wood directly.
Well, it's a theory atleast
