why has the byakugan been so left out

The byakugan was suposed to be better than sharingan so why is it getting left out !!!
I am actually a sharingan fan but this new sharingan turning into rennigan after upgrading the eternal mangyeko sharingan i think has kinda killed it !!!
But what about byakugan !!!

The byakugan was mentioned as stronger than the sharingan, but that's never been seen. Unless we see some insane stuff when Hiashi and Hizashi fight its apparent that the byakugan was all hype little substance.

kishi probably had ideas for byakugan but scrapped them. EMS seems pretty week now seeing how easily it was beaten by allied forces. So i guess rinnegan is all kishi wants to go with right now

If you're referring to what Kakashi said, he said clearly that in terms of insight the Byakugan surpasses the Sharingan, but not that the Byakugan as a whole surpasses the Sharingan. With other words it's something more psychological than anything else.

This was then clearly shown as after Kakashi said that Neji started to explain all of Hinata's habits into things like the she raised her arms in front of her to create a wall, looking away as a sign of doubt etc. You can also take it more literally as that the Byakugan just can see more things than the Sharingan like the entire chakra system.

But it's true that Kishi has been neglecting the Byakugan.

Neglecting is the nicest way you could possibly say it. It's more like ignoring or shunning. The byakugan hasn't had a single change since it first appeared.
