Why has swag culture overtaken America?

Try hard swag hip hop music dominates the mainstream. The image of coolness and social status is the backwards hat, earring wearing, pretty boy swag guy. How did something cool, with the whole **** authority livin the tough life thing, turn into something so annoying? Also, I'm not racist, but it seems to me everything is obsessed with black people, it's really annoying. I just don't get it, I hate today's shitty music and I hate today's shitty culture, it's boring and lame. There's too many people I wish I could just assault without getting thrown in jail, but I already learned my lesson with that, sorta (long story and doesn't have anything to do with this). Wish I could do something to make pop culture more appealing to me because I'd like to be cool and shit without fitting into something I think is stupid.

Fortunately you are incorrect. Swag culture is not a part of our culture as much as it once was. We have now moved into the Internet age. Something that is cool on TV and the Internet and not just one or the other, are now cooler. Uptown funk for example would not be considered cool in a hip hop swag world. We wouldn't be obsessed with Vines or "Deez Nuts," the whip dance, etc. if it were not for the Internet. You want to blame something for our culture? Blame the device in your hands.

In reality all he's doing is smoking and dancing to his music. People do that in any genre in all types of life. You'll also run into the same type of people, you have metals heads who think they're badass and "brutal", as in every other genre. Because music is a portrayal or expression of life, and there are "tough guys" in life.

They're trying to be ironic with that because they are clearly swag ***s, a little self awareness goes a long way I guess, but they still represent what sickens me.
