Why hadn't Hashirama used Kajukai Kōrin?

In his fight against Madara, at the Valley of the End, why hadn't Hashirama used Kajukai Kōrin ("Advent of a World of Flowering Trees")? It is said that with enough willpower it is possible to regain consciousness, but one has to eradicate and destroy the trees themselves to fully counter the technique.

Whether the technique would have made a difference or not, with Hashirama's chakra reserves, mattered not one iota. Wasn't it worth the gamble to use the said technique? If you have overpowered techniques, and godly chakra levels to support them, why not use them?

Madara could counter Kajukai Kōrin with overwhelming fire release techniques; that goes without saying. But purposely tiring out an opponent who has inferior chakra reserves to yourself makes up for an excellent stratagem in my eyes.

Call me a retard but that fight doesn't make sense. No thought involved; mere "whose technique is bigger" contest. Or does somebody have a better explanation?

Madara doesn't need Katon To counter it, he can sit inside his Susano'o

We only saw pieces of their fights. They have fought countless times since they were children and have seen all of each others techniques and know how to adjust. Hashirama probably used that attack and Madara made adjustments. Perhaps even a counter attack. Plus the pollen would knock out the alliance.

There is a reason.....Hashirama didn't really want to kill Madara. He wanted him to come to his senses but in the end that was all for naught. However, I still think he believes that Madara can be redeemed. Sometimes, despite ones madness, true friendship always resurfaces and is able to break hearts of stone.

All Madara really wanted is the same thing Naruto and Sasuke wanted....to belong.

Hn. So he pretty much went easy on Madara. Madara just wants to be acknowledged as equal by Hashirama, perhaps? Power wise, that is.

Madara can counter it so useless. The kyuubi+susano firepower even destroyed that budha so i don't know why you mention this one. And madara is a stamina beast even before vote since he was able to fight for a full day. We didn't see all of thier fight either so who said he doesn't used. The fact that madara can use it means it is been used against him before
