Why Gaara's father control of sand is better than his son

It was said by Deidara that Gaaras sand is faster and more powerful than the sand he can use with the environments help, but you can see that on this pic, when Gaara uses his gourd of sand(suppose to be faster), his father actually uses his jutsu he created and they are matching each other

The sand in his gourd is infused with his own chakara so that's why they move faster, but the sand that he uses from the environment takes time for it to fuse with his own chakara and that's why its a bit slower.

I was actually talking about the control of sand, where i think his father is better. I'm not saying Gaara can't use sand from the environment, but i'm saying that when he uses it, it's much more slower than his own sand(Deidara said that), but you can see it's not the case when his Dad uses this type of sand coming from no where. They were evenly matched at that time. That means he has better control of it, since they have almost the same speed. On your pic, Gaara was only smart enough to pull his sand above the gold to catch his father. It's not about better control there
