Most of the fans of FT don't like Fanservice Lol.You don't watch/read FT....don't post here something that you don't know
good:
---- soundtrack
---- art (primarily, but then it gets boring later on because almost everyone looks alike in the end)
---- fanservice (primarily, after a while it gets stale)
---- comedy (after a while it gets worn out)
bad: (oh boy)
---- too much asspulls
---- too much nakama power ups
---- too much friendship speeches (and speeches in general, like every chapter they need to say something about their guild)
---- too much "man" (everytime elfman opens his mouth he needs to say "men", what's elfman's personality? nothing! just "man" this, "man" that.)
---- too much natsu and his cool factor (overselling the cool factor)
---- too much lucy and her boobs, her crying, her being useless and her waiting to be saved.
---- oh, and absolutely annoying celestial spirits that needs to show their quirks every damn time they show up.

simply said, fairy tail killed itself. very good potential, but the author does not give a crap about the story, he does care about the eye-candies, the cool factors and pleasing the "teeny bopper" fans who don't mind a storyline and scenes that rivals teletubbies and dora the explorer though.
ugh, i feel nauseous everytime i remember fairy tail shoving "friendship" and their corny ass speeches every.single.episode.
we dont want just a badass guy wrecking havoc, we want a good storyline that actually develop characters.
badassery only works on 13 year olds, fanservice only works after a few faps and loveteams only works on 12 year old girls.

Natsu is a Mary Sue. He never loses a fight. He shouldn't have won against Sting and Rogue. Fairy Tail is garbage along with that pathetic timeskip.
you shouldve seen me when i started watching/reading fairy fail, i WAS a big fan.Now I know the true meaning of a hate speech
Well, at first I thought it was an opinion
but you should not mistake "hate" and "stating facts"
reason why i very well know what im talking about was because i used to enjoy the series, but after a while, everything they have to offer gets old and they dont develop, they have the same pattern everytime and lucy became a super annoying character, along with the exceeds, fairy tail is the shit before.
now its "shit"
after the edolas arc, fairy tail was just a downward spiral.
after a few episodes im pretty annoyed with the revolving gags with each character already, they overused it....but im still holding on since i enjoy it, but after grand magic games, i just cant lie, the story is terrible.
so, to the people who got some kind of logic behind them, i advise that you drop fairy tail right now, because that way you'll save time...its pretty enjoyable at first but you'll get less and less euphoria because its predictable as hell and you wont care about the 2 main characters because one gets zero development and one is an annoying pair of bouncing tits.
i do believe that fairy tail will be appreciated by kids 8-16 years old, especially little girls and people that never watched good animes, because if youre not in this scope, its hard to understand why anyone with logic will like fairy tail.

Fairy Tail is a *****. The ultimate textbook love-hate relationship.
Hiro is definitely creative. The problem is his overall story writing has some faults.
If you ignore the fights and abusive fan service
1. Pretty interesting characters who have pretty good back stories. Only thing thst gets in their way is the fact Nakama lower makes them invincible. Sure some characters practically never change personality, but that's not entirely different from how the Strawhats from OP are, or even some times the K11 such as right after Neji dies. Gray's development recently has been wonderful.
2. Cool character designs. Honestly I like practically every character design. The only issue is what he has the girls wear. But fan service.
3. Awesome magic. Seriously some things are really cool. Erza and Jellal have my favorite styles. If only plot didn't turn Erza's weapons into blunt baseball bats...
4. Cool fights. Up until the final blow, many fights are honestly pretty good. It's just Nakama Power ruins it in the end.
5. Interesting world. We haven't gotten as much as say OP, but Fairy Tail has made some effort to make note of the world. Like how. Fiore is just one country. The governmental system. The dark/independent/chartered guilds.
6. Some pretty note worthy plot points. Mainly Zeref, but we've also had moments like Erza and Siegran's relationship before learning Erza's past.
Only problem FT has is...
Rampant abuse of Nakama Power.
Rampant abuse of Fan Servive (armor is meant to cover and protect the body. Not show off).
Which when its just two it seems like "big deal." Problem is just how repetitive amd destructive to the plot it can be.
For example: Tartarus started off amazingly. Then all the sudden Natsu and Gajeel start low diffing. Gray (albeit due to relationship and motive) beats a man who seemed to be on Gildartz's level and actually killed a dragon (when no one could so much as hurt one). Happy tanks a trump card that was greater than something thst destroyed the magic council. Honestly, Gray's development has been the trump point of this arc.
