Why everyone says Obito is a bad character/villain?

Obito's a terrible villain because he has a weak heart and is full of crap. His motivation for taking over the world is Rin being dead. This is a FACT. He outright said that Rin was the sole reason for it. He said throughout the entire war that he didn't give a crap about anything anymore and yet he wouldn't shut the **** up for even 1 second. He was TnJ'd by Naruto in 1 chapter, showing his extremely weak resolve, and is now predictably on the path to "redemption." If he were a good villain, he would have killed Kakashi right away; He wouldn't have half assed his plans and he definitely wouldn't have gotten TnJ'd by Naruto.

And for you to say we're being childish is bs because the one being childish is Obito.
"OMG Rin died I'm so butthurt I have to take over the world and kill thousands in the process! I just can't go on OH WAIT I CAN CUZ NARUTO SAID I CAN!"

His entire adult character is fake and weak. Enough said.

This is a gross oversimplification, it's like saying that Nagato went insane and destroyed Konoha because his dog died.

Obito loved Rin, and love can make you do crazy things. Now imagine you're 13 and you're forced to watch the person you love die. Why did she die? Because of the ninja system. Konoha's enemies were going to use her as a trojan horse and destroy Konoha from within. Why is there a ninja system? Because life is a competition, a competition for food, resources, ***, etc. For one to prosper, another must suffer. The world is unfair and it breeds hatred and violence.

You must also remember that Obito had a traumatic near-death experience, left crippled and deformed, and was the prisoner of an old psychotic warmonger. He finally escapes just to see the girl he loved get a jutsu through the chest.

Now he's going to put everyone in a blissful illusion so that there will be no more violence, and everyone that died will be "back."

Because he could not do everything wrong till the end.
Though he killed Minato, Kushina, Biwako, his own clan members, his own Village, caused this huge a war against every shinobi. That makes him a half-villian.
