Like real skillz that are mandatory, I know child labor is bad but seriously, kids need to know what it's like to work cus that's the goal of studies to begin with.
Why do teachers make everything personal and talk nonsense? Instead of spending a million years in an educational system that teaches you 10 percent of what you need to know wasting your childhood why is school so disconnected from practical applications in life like real jobs?
Or actualy educational environements like universities where the education is your own responsibility, instead of some smartass teacher?

The educational system is faulty but necessary i guess. There are improvements that can be made to make learning applicable to real life scenarios however they always relied on examining theory because that's sort of the only supporting factor of knowledge that can be graded. That's wrong because applied knowledge is far more important, but yea you're right, the system is faulty.

They don't teach you how taxes work, businesses start and operate, they don't give any insight into how things are manufactured and things like electricity are sort of just taught vaguely and in theory. Nutrition is poorly taught with the dumb 5 food pyramid thing, and a shit ton of kids pass 12 years of school without learning discipline, lol. You should know how the world functions at least a little by the end of highschool but they'd probably just prefer people good enough to hold a nine to 5 only.

Education is fine. It's the role of apprenticeship that has been diminished over time. Even with all your theory knowledge, you are expected to find either a mentor or role model and let his best techniques and improve on them.
This however is not the case with Gen Z, they want to do their own thing from scratch then when they mess up they blame the system. If you probably grew up closely with a senior sibling or relative you will learn all or most of life hacks you need to survive life which is a form of apprenticeship.

Yeah, I guess I'm asking for too much, you can't rely on any system to teach you what you need.
It's sad but it's true.
I just get frustrated with how pointless elementary school can seemingly be to kids.

Almost nobody emphasizes the importance of a mentor. The education system doesn't do this at all so you can't blame the fault on Gen Z.
