about Paris. It's not like I don't care at all, it's sad. But no matter what I see, I don't have any hard feelings about it. Like not only this incident right now, but a lot of cruel things. People been calling me cruel and emotionless a lot of times.
I can not create any hard feelings such as being sad that over 100 innocent people just died in France. It's not that I do not see this as bad or tragic, I very well do, I just can't build anything from it. Neither hate, nor sadness.

What about you? Are you emotionally touched by events like these?

I don't cry over it but I do feel some sympathy and pain for families that died or lost someone

I gave it a week until the people stop caring. This happens all the time.

It is an unfortunate occurrence but it isn't the end of the world. This is Gerkak's view on the matter

I don't think you have to, it's not wrong not to. I mean this shit happens all the time.
People only really care because the attack happened in a 'safe' place. People are realizing that just because we live in developed countries we're not immune to this kind of stuff.

People are always dying in the news when I turn it on. It desensitize us to see oh another death.

It is sad but their is too much media bias on things they cover concerning people lives.

I also tend to not differentiate between child and adult that much. Most of the people freak out when they see that a child died or whatever, it's a bit more sad for me as well, but that's it.

Also a lot of people say that they could not be a lawyer for someone who killed another human being. I also don't see a problem there. I don't make a difference, tbh.

you can feel bad about the people who were involved, but until it happens to you then you wont really be effected by it

Evolutionary speaking, it it natural not to have empathy for that which you cannot see, and do not directly experience.

I usually get more emotionally touched when they show the faces of the victims and tell some of their story, but still that video of the people running with bodies on the floor hits deeps u_u

Don't listen to haters. I'm kinda the same as you and am only 17 years old. I think what happened yesterday was a tragedy and I feel bad for the people thy died and their families. But beside this what should I do cry all day? lol I never. Cry only when my dog died. But we shouldn't hate those people too. When mh17 was shot down the first thing I thought about was we had it coming flying over a war zone. Now 127 people dead and alot of wounded. A tweet from a Greek important person said that they checked the Syrian guy with the passport as a refugee. We are digging our own graves with letting theses guys in. I feel bad for the people but the only thug we can do is make sure it won't happen again. We need to go full right for at least 10 years and support Russia in the war against ISIS. We won't stand for this.

I am desensitized to these events from recurrence, unless they affect me personally or my feeling bad affects the victims it's pointless to feel anyway. Though in my experience people who easily get emotional about these things also easily lose their concerns; they're fake to begin with.

It's reasonable. I think we can't quite empathize on a personal level if we haven't experienced it ourselves. Somehow it makes me think of what Sasuke says :
You must be registered for see images

another psychological factor that might play a role is that we're almost numbed by the sheer amount of this kind of incidents, almost feel like it's "part of the plan" now, as Joker puts it

Alright, not sure whether to take this as an insult or not.

Uhh, okay. You do know that I am very well informed, that the behaviour and opinions tend to change when they themselves, or close friends/relatives are affected by such acts. But you do not know if something like this happened to me before or not.

It's that Nazi Brat again.

Oh, please. Do not judge me by my behavior when I was obviously bored and simply in the mood to see how many people would catch my bait. It was obviously just a troll, most of the people have figured. You seem to still take that as serious, which you shouldn't.

I think as much as i like to be objective and not let my emotions control my actions i can't be just ignorent about it maybe it's because i lived 5/4 of my life in a war ridden country that has experienced acts of terrorism so many times even though it's time of peace i can still sympathise with those who experiences things like this .

I've seen enough human deaths on liveleak. The weird thing is when I see a dog getting shot by American police I'm having a harder time than seeing people die. But like I said I understand you bro it is only normal for you to feel this way. Imagine if your father or mother was in Paris and got killed than it was probably different for you and had a more serious impact on you.
