Why doesn't obito get acknowledged to be smart?

Obito is actually one of the smartest,

• HE fooled everyone thinking he is madara
• He controlled the akatsuki and Controlled nagato
• Started a shinobi war
• Fooled even Kakashi about himself being obito
• Went from an idiot to the main villian
• brainwashed sasuke and made him his "pawn"

He has also proved to be a very good analysed and has good tactics in his fights

• Managed to take on a hokage at age 15
• took care of 2 hokage guards half asleep
• soloed Naruto, Might Guy, Killer Bee and kakashi at the same time

I believe Obito is one of the more intelligent Shinobi in narutoverse.

Given his power and intentions no had doubt not to believe he wasn't madara and nobody questioned if he was obito until it was revealed anyway.,he used fear and manipulation.

He is underrated because he is Obito, and when people think of Obito they think about kid-Obito. He is hands down the strongest in Naruto expect Kabuto with his Edo tensei.

Erm, no. Orochimaru tried to take over Itachi's body, and he did that in a stupid way. Why not do such thing when he is asleep?

He certainly has, people act like Obito and "Tobi" are two different people. The fact is, all of Tobi's manipulation is Obito's manipulation, Obito has certainly come a long way in the manga and alot of people don't give him te credit he deserves IMO. Indeed. People disliked that he turned out to be Obito. In my opinion, That was kishi's best move in the manga making obito a villain and all that drama with his past and all.
