I think Bleach has it's moments, but for the most part it sticks to its gun as an action manga. Even then Kubo is able to add subtle glances at characters emotions without going overboard. And thats what we like about bleach. We are not reading for some preachy overtly emotional soap opera, the majority of us here simply want an exciting and thrilling story. Period.

And honestly I think that is what makes it better than Naruto in some ways. Kubo moderates his use of emotion and his fans respect that. Kishi tries to put transcendent emotion in his work and dumbass people misinterpret it. They read the manga and only see "hints" and " parallels " through the simplest expressions of emotion, and completely miss the more subtle nuances Kishi tries to put in his work.

I mean look at Narutobase , I use to kind of like pairings but a lot of the threads and people hear have made me come to see pairings as cancer to a manga series. The bullshit going on currently at the Naruto side of this forum is proof.

On this part of the forum we may have an occaisional tiff about Ichigo/Rukia or Ichigo/Orihime but we are nothing like those animals killing each other over NaruSaku and Naruhina. Yes some form of pairing is present in bleach but neither Kubo or his fans exaggerate it.

Kubo keeps that shit down to a minimum while also maintaining personalities for our favorite characters. The emotional outcry may be far and few between but each one is more meaningful than most of the ones in Naruto. And no manga should be ovetly emotional to that extent imo it comes off as "trying to hard".

I thought the first arc of bleach had a whole bunch of emotional moments. And the never to be spoken out loud fullbring arc had plenty of feels. I think kubo kinda lost his direction after the first arc and so the emotional moments have been few but this arc is getting back on track!

because bleach is too focused on fight, backstories of useless characters we don't care about and without any proper character development of the main characters besides ichigo

but i still enjoy bleach!
