Why does Zabuza's sword suck compared to the rest?

So in this chapter we have witnessed Chojuro finally step up onto the plate and demonstrated with his Hiramekarei, why he is one of the 7 Swordsmen's of the mist. Chojuro with one massive swing, was able to push back the incomplete Susanoo past a brick wall easily.

Kisame's Samehada is able to absorb chakra with ease as shown with Naruto's Kyuubi chakra plus the sword is able to think and obeys Kisame. Plus it shreds :p

So why does Zabuza's Executioner's Blade look so weak compared to the 2 other members. Is it just a case of his blade being outdated compared to the current power levels thus looking inferior or do you think Zabuza never really showed what it was capable of and Suigetsu just gave it some more fail?

I think he was the weakest of the 7 swordsmen so he was stuck with a weak sword.

Because Zabuza was so awesome he didn't need a sword with special powers.

Havent you heard or read a quote which says, Weapon is as strong as the user. All the 7 seven swordsman were best of their village. Suigetsu in not one of them, that means he is weak, since he is weak, sword also luks weak.

He was the assasin, he cant kill anyone silently with samahade or chojuros sword, they just damage the target really hard, samahade shaves the targets skin and flesh, a real agony, lot of screaming, and well, a hammer isnt used for killing anyone really, it just inflicts alot damage to the target.
While zabuzas blade chops off heads, if suigetsu had the mist tech that zabuza had and his techs, he would be strong too.

As NN said, Zabuza was skilled in Silent Killing, not much use if you have a sword that shreds or turns into a big-ass hammer is it ? He needed something that silently killed people in one stroke - i.e. the Kubikiri Hocho.

Plus I think you guys have to remember. His sword was really heavy. Not something anyone else could pick up and use without training. To be able to swing it so fast and efficiently I can see why some people would over look it. He makes it look really easy. I mean haven't you noticed how big Suigetsu arm gets to even be able to wield it?

True, true.
Zabuza was probably insanely strong, physically.

well at least the sword shouldnt break I dont know it should be near indistructable

also what rank of a criminal do you think zabuza was A,B or S
I think A because he didnt use any A or S rank jutsu but he was a match for even a ninja like kakashi so he soulndt be B

kakashi said it was equal to an A rank mission though

Yes, but it is possible that it may have been an A rank BECAUSE Kakashi was there. I mean the missions rank doesnt change necessarily because of that, but all the same who knows? He was fairly skilled, I think he was A rank. I actually think that other than the time Kakashi got caught in the water prison he was beating Zabuza fairly easily, and would have killed him had Haku not come in. In the second battle he allowed himself to get beat up in order to get past the mist technique. But he disabled Zabuza really easily.
Zabuza coulda been A rank.

dam right to that xD

he was already master at the silent killing tech which is an ultimate move when combined wit the hidden mist jutsu O_O
he could easily slice some1 wit that sword and he can carry it wit one hand xD

but i read somewhere that zabuza was a test villian (or something like that) kishi created him as a test subject so that he can make kisame (a better version of zabuza)

like ppl here said, he used that sword because he mastered the silent killing technique. That sword suits him and his abbilities. For the other, their swords were the main abbility, but for zabuza no, he just used it to finish off someone.

i think its because those swords all have special powers (and raiga's sword has lightning abilites) but Zabuza's Decapitating Carving Knife is only good 4 slicing and beheading with the circles and so dats y it looks like it sucks

well the hiramekarei isnt necessarily a hammer...with the hiramekarei unleashing jutsu it can be made in 2 practically any kind of weapon
