Why does the wife get the house in a divorce? And why must we pay them alimony? I understand the child support but why alimony?
Why must we pay somebody who we don't like?
Why must we pay somebody who we don't like?
But what happens when your wife doesn't agree to sign one?A prenup reks
You sue her lolBut what happens when your wife doesn't agree to sign one?
Ha ha beat me to it. XDThey don't. The estate is split in half.
And besides why would you get married without a prenup.
Why prenups don't matter sometimes.Ha ha beat me to it. XD
"I have three children!"Lmao. It depends on who makes the most money will pay alimony. In many job positions like being a farmer or a surgeon, woman are being underpaid while men are making more money.

Don't marryBut what happens when your wife doesn't agree to sign one?
I remember talking to the mother of a friend who told me her pakistani husband made her stay home with the kids and one day he was bored with her so he left the country for another woman, leaving her homeless for 2 years without a job and 2 kids. They were officially married and he just left and never came back. I guess these laws are in place for specific situations. There is absolutely no reason why a woman should receive anything from a man when they get divorced. Even more so when she also works. Alimony needs to be abolished. It will when women start to be screwed by it. It is happening though.
Prenups don't always help. Especially after 10 years.
Look up bill burr (comedian) on divorce. Joe Rogen (comedian) on divorce
The laws are archaic and need to be replaced. But that means lawyers are going to lose easy money.
Being forced to stay home is already a red flag for a marriage. In today's world, especially in the west, don't do it. Don't depend on other people. DOn't do what you don't want to do.I remember talking to the mother of a friend who told me her pakistani husband made her stay home with the kids and one day he was bored with her so he left the country for another woman, leaving her homeless for 2 years without a job and 2 kids. And there are too many of such incidents to name. It's shameful that western laws, at least, safeguard the women's rights as well. In countries like Pakistan, men just leave their children, divorce their wives and never look back and it's somehow considerd normal for them to behave this way. If a woman opts to marry, she demonized and belittled for being promiscuous and inconsiderate of her children's feelings.I remember talking to the mother of a friend who told me her pakistani husband made her stay home with the kids and one day he was bored with her so he left the country for another woman, leaving her homeless for 2 years without a job and 2 kids. But how does this safe guard from dead beats if someone wants to be a dead beat they will be one and in those circumstances a court can't stop them, and how about the guy trying to support his family why is he penalized especially if the guy doesn't even have a kid with herWhy, are you going through a messy divorce? My sympathies.

Whilst I understand that laws are exploited by both sexes, but man, do we need such laws in Third World countries.
Women are often dependent and submissive in their behaviour which makes for these kind of situations. In some way you could say it's her own fault. There's always a chance to cop out before sh1t hits the fan; if you pay attention. But yeah, I have not looked anything up regarding this topic, but my guess is that these bylaws are in place for complex domestic situations.Being forced to stay home is already a red flag for a marriage. I know the laws have benefits but with your example, it wouldn't help her. He left the country.
I should clarify. I don't like the idea of paying alimony for the rest of my life. Say i was married for twelve years. I divorced. I paid alimony for 12 years. SHould i still keep paying? Alimony is till she remarries.
The funny thing is, the ex husband is of some type of nobility. At some point in time, he owned his own jetplane. And yet, he left his wife and children with a 20.000 pounds bill that was his to pay, but the authorities couldn't track him so it was on the wife. Imagine that. And there are too many of such incidents to name. It's shameful that western laws, at least, safeguard the women's rights as well. There is no concept of deadbeats here. They leave and it's considered normal. But how does this safe guard from dead beats if someone wants to be a dead beat they will be one and in those circumstances a court can't stop them, and how about the guy trying to support his family why is he penalized especially if the guy doesn't even have a kid with her
That sounds horrible. But yes, once you culturally ingrain this concept in people, that's what happens. The funny thing is, the ex husband is of some type of nobility. That's what you get in sandy feet cultures, sadly.
