Why does the sky turn blue during the day.....
If space is always black....never changes colors...and we are able to see the stars at night then how come we cant see it during the day...

I'm not sure but the blue is because of the ozone layer in the sky.

So the sky probably turns blue when the sunlight hits the Ozone layer (I think).

Ocean reflects blue light. Ozone layer keeps particles inside our atmosphere. Blue light shines up from ocean, ozone layer reflects it back down, wala, blue sky.

I remembered my physics lecturer said something about "Rayleigh scattering" and it had something to do with why the sky is blue. Unfortunately I didn't really pay attention that time. Just search it on the net.

As for the second question, my guess is that the brightness of the sky, sun, etc.. just overpowers the brightness of the other stars and that's why you can't see them.
