Why does Sasuke think he can be hokage?

I actually loled hard when sasuke said it I was like Dude WtF? You first abandon your village for power, join Akatsuki, attempted to kidnap the hachibi, nearly killed a konoha nin, had the impulse to destroy konoha, then YOU COME ****ING BACK HOME EXPECTING TO BE HOKAGE???!!!! Good one

Exactly, Sasuke is just seeking to make change. Hokage is just the most advantageous position. Of course he won't become Hokages, but I do want to see how he even gets close enough to be considered. Seems pretty impossible to me.

People forget that Sasuke didn't actually do anything bad to the village except kill Danzo, who the majority of the village either disliked or never knew of anyway.

Killing two of the Akatsuki, and being half of the power to stopping a third member far outweighs Danzo.

First my friend,tell me his so called 'sin'. If you want to say he attacked bee,well bee,if survives,will forgive him seeing he knows itachi's truth as well. He attacked 5 kages you think in order to kill them?wrong again. In viz translation he clearly stated that danzo is his only target. He killed fodder samurais? well he clearly stated unless they don't interfere they are safe but oh well they were so eager to die. He killed danzo? well technically he didn't,if you believe naruto didn't kill kakuzo that is,but anyway i praise sasuke for killing that son of a ***** named danzo,that ******* was responsible for the condition of pain,kabuto,itachi,sasuke. i don't see how this is bad in a ninja world since the hokages + hiruzen didn't even care about danzo's death
madara had done more bad in the past then sasuke has done and still was accepted . so can be done for Sauce. so was Done for gaara

He lost any credibility when he thought of running away after seeing the four juubi bombs leaving everyone from alliance behind

Kages are supposed to fight till the last breath and try to protect their shinobis and even die in the attempt, like third raikage

if any enemy ever invades konoha that turns out to be powerful than sasuke you can bet that he will summon his hawk and will be the first to run away

When he attacked the summit, he was just a neutral status missing-nin.

Nobody has even thought of Danzo since his death, and even if he hadn't of died at Sasuke's hands, Obito would have dealt with him. If anything, Sasuke having killed some of the Akatsuki was counter-productive to the Infinite Tsukuyomi, he wasn't involved in the war up until his change of heart and when he did get involved, he was fighting against the plan.

Naruto is years ahead of him since he slowly gained everyones sympathy over 660 chapters. Kishi would need to come up with a huge asspull to make Sasuke the Hokage while Naruto is still alive.

in all honesty if naruto and hashirama tell the alliance to forgive sasuke do u really think people will go against them.. same for hiruzen..and most likely gaara and tsunade would forgive him because of what he means to naruto.. plus with his help in the war considering no one else apart from a few can do anything him being there is a neccesity
