Why does sasuke recieve so much hate?

I have to admit, the reasons Sasuke has for going completely rogue are kind of bogus. But since learning that Uchihas become emotionally unstable after the activation of their Sharingans it makes sense.

All the hate that Sasuke gets is pretty much from just his fanbase, that's not to say that is not the same for any of the other character fanbases. I'm pretty sure Sakura is the one that gets hated on the most on this site.

The fights are not the most important factor when it comes to character quality for me, Sasuke as a character comes off to me as 1 dimensional (his whole character revolves around the theme of revenge), ironically irrational and even somewhat inconsistent. That said, he is better than the other two main characters, generic Naruto and the farce known as Sakura.

Fan is short for fanatic. Fanatic: A person marked or motivated by an extreme, unreasoning enthusiasm, as for a cause.

I sense none of that from the OP. Like I said, just because somebody likes a character or even if they have a favorite character, doesn't mean they are a fanboy. Neither does using logic to defend a character make them a fanboy.

Now the "lord Sasuke" idiots are fanboys. Not the OP or other people that defend Sasuke when his character is the target of unnecessary hate. Of course there are reasons to not like Sasuke but, you must admit, many people take it too far.

yeah sorry about getting all defensive and shit i jumped to conclusions and assumed people were hating on him so i started defending him like a fanboy lol

Sasuke used to piss me off because he acted like an immature runt. I get that what he went through is difficult and I'd understand why he'd go after his bro, but it was just anger that clouded his thoughts. Granted he was young at the time, but then the idiot goes ahead and makes the same mistake, now he's still letting hatred cloud his judgement and going off like a mad psychopath to kill innocent people instead of thinking it.

I'm glad he finally got some sense and is actually using his brains instead of emotions and talking to people (the hokage) about it to come up with a conclusion, but even then, if the guy decides to kill innocent people, I'll hate him even more than that poor excuse of a female main character.

I'll hit a few key points that I'm sure will be brought up.

- He gets saved in all his fights, EVERYONE HAS BEEN SAVED. I always compare sasuke to naruto seeing how most people do, Naruto has been saved more than sasuke. Don't believe start from beginning and count until now.

- Fanboys what makes his fanboys different from the rest? When it comes to a fan no one can beat their favorite character.

- Plot shield, Naruto has biggest plot shield in the manga

I don't hate Sasuke but I have a hard time wanting to respect him.

I get being angry and sad over what happened with his clan and why.

I get wanting vengence.

Vegence should never come at the cost of innocent lives though. Sasuke is willing to kill everyone in the Leaf just so he can have his revenge and restore his clans name.

He is also easily manipulated. This was clear in the first series when Orochimaru manipulated Sasuke to seek him out for more power. This was seen again in the 2nd series after his fight with Itachi only Tobi was the manipulator. Even Itachi manipulated Sasuke down the path of hatred.

I like Sasuke's character. He is a bad a$$ ninja with some amazing jutsu. His actions are questionable to me. Fighting and defeating Danzo was perfectly justified in my opinion. I also believe that Sasuke ( or Kakashi ) should be the one to take Obito's life
